About the Artist

I am a visual artist working mostly with paint: acrylic, watercolor and pastels. I am greatly inspired by the Montana landscapes and vistas I enjoy as an ambulance transport driver. While helping people get to a higher level of care I study the nuances of color in the fields and mountains I drive by. After taking a color theory class my eyes were opened to the subtle colors of autumn, spring and winter. Instead of bleak fields I now see the contrast of yellow grasses against blue mountains blending into subtle green shadows in the folds of the land. I feel inspired to translate these views with a paint brush, with the goal of creating what other people will identify as "what I love about Montana!" and "I've been there!" My ultimate goal is to bring beauty into people's lives by sharing the allure of this incredible state.
